Here are a couple pictures of the chassis after cleaning and painting. I`ve also added the driver seat/driver, steering wheel, and fuel cell. Most everything has been detailed as much as possible until the engine is finished.
Now that the chassis is pretty much done, it`s time I get to a few other items lined out. First on the list will be getting the (plastic) motor together, I`ve decided that this hot rod wouldn`t be right unless it`s sporting a big block Chevy. And sinse they aren`t available, I`ll be making a few parts to hopefully resemble this. I started with a 1/25 scale model kit motor and made a few adjustments by removing the molded on heads and shortening the whole assembly. Some new valve covers were then shaped from blocks of solid styrene rectangle stock. The finished parts shown sitting next to a AMT 1/32 SB Chevy kit motor. I don`t do any scale measurements ever !!, if it looks right to me I`m happy.
Now my attempt to make some fuel injector stacks and breathers. These also will be formed from styrene pieces. The intake manifold is made with flat stock along with 2 pieces of 1/8" square rod. Each rod was drilled with 4 -1/16" holes that have 1/16" plastic rod inserted in each to resemble the main stack.

Next the motor has been installed into the chassis, then the solder was inserted into the pre drilled motor. These are each 4" in length and will be trimmed a little when the collectors are made. The styrene injectors were also covered with 3/32" K&S aluminum tubing.
The headers have been bent to closely run along the inside of the nerf bars and body. There was also a distributor made from a Artin guide eyelet, and thread has been glued into the center.

Back for a few more progress pictures, the guide has been permanently installed along with the braids and wiring on the motor. Undecided as of now about adding a shaker screen in front of the radiator to hide the wires.
I decided to keep the bottom of the chassis free and clean of any wires so not to interfere with the steering. As you can see the guide wires are routed along the inside of the cockpit, and wire tied to the roll bars. Sorta resembling 1.1 wiring harness up front. The plug Wires have also been routed along the under side of the headers, which incidentally have been re-formed sinse earlier picture above.
A better shot of the headers and how well the guide wires blend into the engine compartment. Also may add a fan shroud, sinse the radiator isn`t fixed yet along with upper/lower radiator hoses.
